From diving to nautical anchor bracelets

The Maris Sal® story began when Maria Johansson Bayindir, Swedish designer and scuba dive instructor, had had enough of inferior quality accessories which would not stand the test of the nautical environment in which she spent her days.
Inspired by her father, a skilled goldsmith, she decided to create a range of superior quality, nautical bracelets, which would be the perfect companion for a nautical dream life.

"We create anchor bracelets keeping you
- Anchored to your dreams!"

Our philosophy

“We believe in high standards.
Let them be your guiding lodestar

in every aspect of life;

A compass helping you be the best
version of you; striving further and
staying on course.

We believe in aiming high and
sailing far, but most of all;
being the captain of your life

and staying anchored to your dreams.”

Our vision

One should never have to sacrifice durability for beauty or settle with less than perfection. Our philosophy is built into every piece we make.
The Maris Sal Collection is made for the discerning individual, who appreciates the pleasures of the seaside lifestyle and seeks quality in all aspects of life.

$1 per sold item is donated to the world's leading environmental organizations; World Wildlife Fund and Greenpeace, who work hard to protect our planet so we can safely pass her on to future generations.

Our island - Hönö

In the northern part of Sweden’s west-coast archipelago lies Hönö island which has a popular marina and a wide range of activities such as scuba diving and kayaking. A number of restaurants and cafés can also be found in the harbour.

Maris Sal has it’s home here, close to the wind and the sea. Northwestern Hönö consists of a nature reserve and on the southwest side there are beautiful walking paths.
Our office on the island - located only a stone's throw from the ocean - is the heart of the design of our models. New products are ideated here every year, by our in-house designer with close attention to detail and functionality, offering accessories of unmistakable Swedish style and quality.

The archipelago runs almost 280 kilometers up Sweden’s west coast and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. CNN Travel ranks it the seventh most beautiful natural wilderness area in the world!
